Cem'i Cem Deliorman

Born in Eskişehir in 1984, Cem'i Cem Deliorman began his professional music education at the Anatolian University State Conservatory, enrolling in the Violin Department in 1995. As he worked towards his bachelor's degree, he first studied under Hale Basmacıoğlu, then with Ezgi Gönlüm Yalçın. He later studied harmony and theory with Sami Hatipoğlu, piano with Lilian Tonella and orchestra conduction with Burak Tüzün. During this time he also attended several master courses and concert throughout the country, as well as gave concerts with the Anatolian University State Conservatory's Symphonic Student Orchestra.

In 2003, he passed the entrance exams for orchestra conduction at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and was accepted into Leopold Hager's preparatory class. That same year he also studied orchestra conduction under Yuji Yuasa, solfege and harmony with Herbert Lauermann and piano with Reinhart Amon. Deliorman's education at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna was supported by The Borusan Center for Culture and Arts and the Asım Kocabıyık Education and Culture Foundation.

The following year, in 2004, Deliorman was the only student accepted in the Department of Orchestra Conduction as a student of the renowned Martin Sieghart. Simultaneously, the young artist was also invited by Johannes Prinz at the Graz Music University to study in the Choir Conduction Department. As was the case at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, at Graz Deliorman was once again the youngest student in the department. There he studied co-repetition with Günther Fruhmann and opera conduction with Wolfgang Bozic and Wolgang Dörner.

In 2005, Deliorman was selected to attend maestro seminars and had the privilege of learning from such virtuosos as Zubin Mehta, Fabio Luisi and Nikolaus Harnoucourt. He performed several concerts during the festivals organized to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Mozart and accompanied the Graz Music University Symphonic Student Orchestra. Also in 2005, Deliorman regularly conducted the Graz Symphonic Wind Orchestra on its tour of Croatia, as well as several town choirs in Austria and the Hungarian Sombethely State Symphony Orchestra.

Currently, Deliorman is enrolled as a final year student at the Anatolian University State Conservatory and studying conduction under Martin Sieghart. He is also working with the Anatolian University Academic Symphony Orchestra. His entire education at the conservatory is being sponsored by the Asım Kocabıyık Culture and Education Foundation.
