One of the most important contemporary music choirs of Turkey, Rezonans concentrates on the works of Northerner contemporary composers in their third concert at the Borusan Music House. Focusing on the pieces of the composers such as Arvo Pärt, Gunnar Eriksson, Ola Gjeilo, Urmas Sisask and Wilhelm Peterson-Berger this season, Rezonans intensifies their music with the works of their guest conductor Lone Larsen. The band’s repertoire consists of Susanne Rosenberg’s contemporary work that sounds like Swedish ballads and non-traditional interpretation of human voice as well as Arvo Pärt’s “Da Pacem Domine”, one of his most famous choir pieces. Inspired from “To The Mothers in Brazil”, the song of famous jazz composer Lars Jansson, Gunnar Eriksson’s “Salve Regina” edit is one the most genuine pieces. After the Northern wind, the contest songs of Rezonans who is going to represent Turkey at Cork International Choir Festival will mark the end of the night.
