She will also be performing Salvatore Sciarrino’s Piano Sonata No. 1 composed in praise of the color blue, Olivier Messiaen’s Le merle Bleu and Iannis Xenakis’ 6 Chansons for Piano reminiscent of Bartók for its folkloric melodies.
