MERCAN DEDE "SECRET TRIBE" FEAT. SABAHAT AKKİRAZ

In his second concert at the Borusan Music House stage, Mercan Dede hosts one of the most prominent figures in Turkey’s music scene, Sabahat Akkiraz. They have recorded and performed many times before and for this special occasion, they will add new pieces to their repertoire and offer all of us a brand new experience which we will certainly remember.

Sabahat Akkiraz has a prominent performer of Turkish folk music since the 80s and took part in several projects blending different genres. Come December, she will be a guest of Mercan Dede on the Borusan Music House stage. They have recorded and performed for many different projects since the beginning of the 2000s. They have reinterpreted pieces like “Tevhid” and “Kerbela” with Mercan Dede’s skilled arrangement and Akkiraz’s brilliant vocal and hit top places on BBC World Music Charts and World Music Charts Europe with them. Now they reunite adding new pieces to their growing duo repertoire for an unforgettable experience.
