Nova Muzak series organized by Borusan Sanat and KOD Muzik in collaboration continue full steam ahead. The guests of the 24th concert of the series are The Ex, an anarcho-punk band from the Netherlands, and BulBul, an alternative rock trio from Austria.

BulBul initially a one-man noise project brought to life by Viennese Manfred Engelmayr in the late 90s, has transformed into a noise rock trio as Didi Kern on drums, and Roland Rathmair on bass joined the band after a few albums. On their fifth album, they performed noise rock elements on compositions open to improvisations and proved they work great as a band. In the making of their album titled Hirn Fein Hacken, the band was inspired by artists and bands including The Kinks, Captain Beefheart, Rhys Chatham, Django Reinhardt, Abner Jay, Fats Domino and Bob Dylan. Their unique sense of humor can be felt on the album where numerous alternative music genres/subgenres (post-punk, no.wav, noise) pour into a strange and highly energetic melting pot. BulBul with their extremely dynamic live performance will take the stage before The Ex.

The Ex from Amsterdam is without a doubt more than just a music band…they have over 40 years of history and over 20 albums. Set out from the abandoned places of the city and advanced without compromise on their journey, The Ex turned into one of the most peculiar ensembles of the world. The Ex is one of the best improvising bands of the modern times, blending free jazz and punk with folk themes. They will be the guests of honor of Nova Muzak series on the 17th of February before the release of their new album, 27 Passports.
