The night of the world premiere of the piece written by Kamran İnce on commissioned by BIPO will conclude with a selection from İnce’s repertoire. İnce’s works masterfully blend the sounds of Turkey with contemporary classical music. During the concert, BIPO will be accompanying percussionist Evelyn Glennie. Scottish percussion virtuoso Evelyn Glennie is a peerless musician who has proven to be a rare musical genius by overcoming the hearing loss she was diagnosed for at the early age of two on her own. Glennie has been appointed the title of Dame by the United Kingdom, and she holds some of the most prestigious awards of the music world. The artist has recorded twelve albums since 1990 and delivered an outstanding performance at the opening of the 2012 London Olympics.
