At the last concert of this month, BIPO hosts Domingo Hindoyan, who started his musical studies as a violinist in the famous Venezuelan musical education programme El Sistema and received his master’s degree in conducting at Haute Ecole de Musique in Genèva. Hindoyan, who was the assistant of Daniel Barenboim at Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin in 2013 and conducted his first concert at the Metropolitan Opera in 2018, is currently the principal conductor of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. For this BIPO concert programme, Hindoyan will present Brahms’ Variations on a Theme by Haydn and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No.3 known as the “Scottish”, both of which are considered to be gems of the orchestral music repertoire.
