English pianist Freddy Kempf was only eight when he made his first important appearance performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.12 with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Also a successful recitalist, he has added recordings of piano masterpieces of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Prokofiev and Schumann to his discography. He spent the last decade particularly performing chamber music with his trio. Known for his dynamic piano-playing and close interaction with the audience on stage, it is no surprise he is soloist in demand by great orchestras. Together with BIPO, he will perform the most beloved jazz form of classical music, Gershwin’s two masterpieces.
