BIPO | Auditions For Violoncello Section Co-Principal

The Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra hereby announces an audition for the position of Co-Principal of the cello section for the 2026/27 season. The audition will take place on Monday, 22 June 2026, between 10.30 and 17.00, at Borusan Oto’s 9.55 Hall in İstinye. The candidate who receives the highest evaluation scores at the audition will be entitled to assume the position of Co-Principal of BIPO’s cello section.

Important Notice: Applicants are required to have completed their undergraduate studies in the relevant instrument at a conservatory or an equivalent higher education institution; graduation certificate will be required for the application.

There will be no piano accompaniment at the auditions.
The deadline for violoncello audition applications is Friday, 27 March 2026. Please note that late applications will not be evaluated.

• Members of the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra are also eligible to participate in the audition.

• For candidates applying from within the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra, the evaluation score obtained at the audition shall be valid solely for the position of Co-Principal of the cello section. The score received will not affect the candidates’ current position within the Orchestra.

• In the event of a high number of applicants, the audition process may extend to 23 June 2026; candidates are therefore kindly requested to ensure their availability on this date as well.
