This season BIPO will greet the new year under the direction of Seattle Symphony Orchestra’s music director and conductor Ludovic Morlot. Since he became the music director in 2011, Morlot has gone on numerous successful tours and signed award-winning recordings with the orchestra. Merlot will be accompanying Angela Gheorghiu, who has won recognition for the lead roles she has played with BIPO at The Metropolitan, Royal Opera House, La Scala and Vienna, and especially for her role in Tosca’s adaptation for the silver screen.
