Hakan Ali Toker, who has made ground-breaking works in the performance of Turkish music on the piano, visits Borusan Music House with his project “City Life” in which he focuses on ethnic jazz. The artist who expanded his work in the field of classical music to include ethnic world music has initiated extraordinary projects as well as producing soundtracks for silent movies. Toker produces in the classical music, Turkish music and jazz genres, and has received praise both from the audience and critics for Turkish Music on Piano released in 2005 and Alla Turca Alla Toker released in 2012. Darren Rea describes Toker as "an artist who knows his craft and is comfortable enough to break down music that everyone is familiar with and then build it up to give us something unexpected yet still familiar."
