Singer and songwriter Şirin Soysal shares the stage with Norwegian accordion master Frode Hatli. Şirin Soysal has released three albums since 2012; her “dark cabaret” has received praise from the music critics, and the artist has earned a considerable number of followers. Soysal is the first musician from Turkey to be invited to the Ertegün Jazz Series in Washington. Frode Haltli is known for pushing the musical boundaries of his instrument the accordion. He has performed all around the world and has been an inspiration to numerous Scandinavian artists through his albums released by the prestigious record label ECM and his extensive repertoire that also contains classical music. The duo previously shared the stage at the Istanbul Jazz Festival in 2019. For this concert, they will be performing songs from Soysal’s albums and also surprise musical interpretations.
