Borusan Quartet’s guest soloist for this concert is pianist Can Çakmur, the young musician who became a national source of pride in 2021 when he was chosen ICMA’s Young Artist of the Year. Çakmur, who has captivated audiences with his recitals in Germany and Spain last season, is held in high esteem by Europe’s leading music critics. Classical music publications such as Crescendo, Gramophone, Pizzicato have praised not only Çakmur’s concerts but also his 2019 album that brought together works by Beethoven, Say, Bartók, Haydn, Sasaki and his 2020 album Schwanengesang, Liszt’s piano arrangement of Schubert’s masterpiece.
