Founded in 2002 in order to produce original compositions by Jeffery Davis (vibraphone), Óscar Marcelino da Graça (piano), Nelson Cascais (bass) and Alexandre Frazão (drums), Lift Off charms its followers with creative details. The works of Davis and Graça focusing on classical music reach the audience with a different effect when they come together. The quality of composition and consistency in the repertoire have great importance for the ensemble which works tirelessly to produce new pieces. Lift Off reveals the importance of dialogue as they diversify their work on what unites musicians and what musicians unite. While the music by the ensemble focuses on creative details, the emphasis placed on the composer’s role creates a powerful impact.
