Borusan Contemporary Art Collection Volume 2

This second volume of the Borusan Contemporary Art Collection which was first presented to the viewers in September 2011 at the weekend museum Borusan Contemporary is a sequel to the first book. Borusan has been dedicated to assembling a significant collection of work across a broad spectrum of genres, in particular painting, sculpture, prints, and photography. Now, just as the institution refocuses its attention on the field of contemporary media arts, work that is unique to contemporary times, Ertuğ & Kocabıyık Publications is publishing a second volume that aligns with the collection’s current activity in the areas of video, moving-image installation, photography, light, kinetic objects and software-based practice.

A special selection of the works in the collection are presented with texts of leading academics and curators accompanied by Ahmet Ertuğ’s photographs and design concept. The artists in the book are: Miru Kim, Chen Jiagang, Massimo Vitali, Ellen Kooi, Robert Mapplethorpe, Charles Xelot, Ola Kolehmainen, Leo Villareal, Anthony James, Bertrand Ivanoff, Ivan Navarro, Maurizio Nannucci, Chul Hyun Ahn, Brigitte Kowanz, Hans Kotter, Alejandro Almanza Pereda, James Clar, François Morellet, Jennifer Steinkamp, Claudia Hart, Shirley Shor, Pascal Haudressy, Monika Bravo, Lars Arrhenius, Jesse Fleming, Hannu Karjalainen, Bengü Karaduman, Eelco Brand, Roman Signer, Jim Kampbell, U-Ram Choe, Daniel Canogar, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, Jeffrey Shaw & Sarah Kenderdine, Björn Schülke, Dominic Harris, Laurent Bolognini.
